I was on bedrest through my pregnancy from 20 weeks. I end up with preeclampsia quite early in my pregnancies. Bedrest is no joke. And when it comes with high BP......it is very frustrating. Even laying around all day couldn't lower my BP. I hated ever minute of it but I had to suck it up. I was and am a doer.......I am always moving, always cleaning, organizing....doing something. I can't sit. I've never been able to sit. But I had to.....i had to even though I hated it because it was no longer just me that it was effecting. I was growing a human. And my being on bedrest was going to affect that human. So I sat... I would lay around....and because I did, i was able to grow that little human another 10 weeks. Yes, in the end I delivered a 2 lb prem, but if I had have pushed myself when I wasn't supposed to, the outcome could have been much worse for myself and her.

That's a tough one when there is already a history of peanut allergy ..... however, I was someone who tried everything very early. I'm pretty sure that I introduced all of the "scary" foods before 2. I felt that the earlier the better and also that there was a better chance of not having an allergy if it was introduced early enough. I am a mom of a preemie so most things were taken as fight or flight in my house.
