Hi Everyone, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Karen, mom to 2 teen boys and a Self-Care coach for moms. If you'd like to receive tips, things that have worked for me along my Mom journey, I'd love to send them. You can email me at karen@karenwilliams.ca and I'll hook you up. I look forward to joining the discussions and learning from everyone.

Sometimes as moms we can he so hard on ourselves. If you're anything like me that could look like ... I should be doing more, why can't I seem to keep it all together, everyone seems to be doing life better than me (this is BS by the way). What I'm going to invite you to do is give yourself permission. Permission to slow down. Permission to take time for you. Permission for what you do in each day to be enough. Because it is enough, and so are you 😘

It can be tricky to find the time, but it doesn't have to be a full day at the spa (although that sounds fab). It can be making sure you get 10 minutes to enjoy your coffee while it's still hot☕️

It's important to remember that we all have times that are difficult. They will not last forever, just as the good times don't last forever either. If you're struggling, put your hand over your heart, close your eyes and ask "what does my spirit need right now?" This will bring you into the present moment where you can focus on YOU.

Do you always find yourself at the bottom of your own to-do list? If you put your needs closer to the top, how might your life change?

Taking time ro rest can seem impossible when we're in the thick of it every day. Something that helped me (and still does) is to make sure I take that time. But keep it simple, Mama! When the overwhelm shows up, close your eyes for 2 minutes and rest. It will recharge your brain and calm your nervous system.
